Aisha Madrone, MAcOM, LAc

Aisha graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2007 and founded Seven Star Acupuncture & Apothecary in 2008. Her goal as a practitioner is to be a good listener, to create an environment where patients feel welcomed and comfortable, and to work together to provide the care that they need. She enjoys helping patients of all ages and backgrounds live healthier lives.

Before becoming an acupuncturist Aisha was a yoga instructor. The alignment and body awareness she learned from yoga helped to foster an interest in treating pain and injuries. She is well versed in treating many different issues with her patients, including mental health, digestive problems, chronic ailments, and women’s health.

Aisha is currently accepting new patients for: acupuncture, herbal medicines, massage, and facial rejuvenation.

Aisha loves this clinic and hopes you do too!

Brad Hamlin, MAcOM, LAc

Brad has been studying Chinese Medicine in one form or another for 19 years.  From a first qigong class in Eastern Kentucky fifteen years ago, to a degree from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, and advanced study with eminent doctors in both China and the West.

A founding member of the International Society for the Study of Classical Acupuncture, Brad continually works to bring the classical Chinese medical traditions into modern clinical practice, using a wide range of approaches, including acupuncture and moxibustion, qigong, tuina, and both internal and external herbs.

Brad is deeply committed both to the ideal of healthcare as a basic right, and to expanding and developing the role of acupuncture and Chinese medicine in making that ideal into a reality.

Paul Messersmith-Glavin, MAcOM, LAc , LMT

Paul Messersmith-Glavin has been a practitioner of Chinese medicine since 2003, after attending the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.  Prior to becoming a Chinese herbalist and acupuncturist, Paul was a professional massage therapist following his graduation from the prestigious Swedish Institute of Massage in New York City in 1997.  He brings his years of working as a massage therapist into his acupuncture practice, and excels working with such issues such as back and neck pain and discomfort, knee and ankle problems, sciatica, and other physical challenges.  In addition to acupuncture and herbal consultations, Paul is available for a Half and Half: one half acupuncture and one half massage.

Paul spent a year studying at the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Chengdu, China in 2007/08 and learned a great deal working beside Chinese doctors.  He uses these years of experience to help resolve issues such as insomnia, stress and anxiety, depression, digestive issues, allergies, eye problems, persistent headaches, and other ailments.  Paul is politically committed to the practice of community based, sliding scale medicine, and seeks to make health care available to those who could not otherwise afford it.

She is a Licensed Acupuncturist and nationally certified by the NCCAOM in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
